Busy Week

This week has been very busy for me. I have 3 cakes to do this week. By far the most I've done in one week. Not to mention the state fair is coming up and I need to figure out what I'm doing and get it done ASAP. I haven't had much inspiration lately. I've had lots of ideas but nothing really sticking. I need to get on that. Oh well I will figure it out. This weeks cakes have been all birthday cakes. The first one a liquor bottle, then popcorn and finally toy story. Characters were bought to go on top. Nothing to hard but lots to do. Now with the kids being out of school tomorrow because of the storm hopefully I will get it all done. Otherwise I will be up very late tomorrow night!

Begginings

So here it goes. I'm jumping into the blogging world. FUN stuff let me tell you. Okay well a little about me. To start off with I will tell you I am HORRIBLE with English, so please don't judge my spelling errors, typos, or overall bad grammar. After all I am a baker not an English teacher. I have 2 children a boy and a girl. I am so lucky to have both. We will talk more about them later. I don't have any formal training. The only training I get is from my husband, who happens to be a chef, telling me I'm doing everything wrong. What he means is it's not the "culinary" way. My response is usually AND????? He leaves me alone most of the time now. I am a total perfectionist when it comes to baking. If you know anything about cake decorating you usually have this huge idea that ends up turning out nothing like you wanted. Not to mention you have to fly by the seat of your pants when your idea totally didn't work. But somehow I get things done. I'm usually saying "I don't like this cake." somewhere in the process, but it always turns out. I will catch you all up on photos soon. I have a couple of cakes this week so I will post them all at one time. I look forward to sharing with you all.
